It’s about time

Over New Year’s weekend, we had a storm. It wasn’t the normal kind of winter storm. Yeah, we did get some snow, but we got more rain than snow. There were some pretty good size puddles around town. But … since it’s January and this is North Dakota, it’s gonna get cold again and freeze all that water. The streets aren’t too bad anymore, but the parking lot of my apartment building is horrible. No matter how slow I walk, I still come close to falling at least once on my way to my garage.
Tonite, a truck came through the parking lot and put down some sand. It’s about damn time. Hopefully they put enough down between the front door and my garage that I won’t have to worry about falling any more. I guess I’ll find out in the morning when I head off to work.
