Never shop hungry

I’ve been told or heard and I try to live by: Never go grocery shopping when you’re hungry.

If you do, you end up buying stuff that you really don’t need and that aren’t good for you. It’s just not a good thing.

I didn’t listen to myself tonite. LOL I went to the grocery store after work to get some things. I wasn’t really all that hungry, but I was tempted as soon as I walked in the door. They had a lady with samples by the carts. Corn dog samples. Guess what I’m having for supper … corn dogs. I haven’t had any in a while. It was either that or chicken breast on the Forman grill. I’m having hash brown patties too.

I might go to another grocery store later tonite. I’ve got lists for all 3 that I go to from time to time. Everyone has something different on sale. We’ll see if I have the energy to go out again tonite. I tend to not want to leave after I get home. But I’d rather go shopping tonite than tomorrow. This town gets more crazy on the weekends … LOL. But at least I don’t have to go to Walmart.

Another thing I try to live by: Don’t watch the Food Channel when you’re hungry.

I have a LOT more trouble with that one. When nothing else is on tv, I’ll watch the Food Channel … especially Saturday and Sunday mornings and in the evenings after work … before 6pm when one of my soaps start (on SoapNet).

A couple more minutes and I get to eat. Need food!
