The mountains are gorgeous - hiking, mountain biking are great in the warm weather and the winter brings some of the best skiing in the country (so I've heard - I still have yet to go skiing) LOL! The weather is nice too - but I've definitely found I prefer drier climates. There is a lot of religion here though. I'm NOT religious and that's probably my biggest issue with living here. But I've found other people like me and we deal with it. There are a few big companies here that do PHP stuff. Omniture is one of them (I looked at working there at one time, but while they do hire contractors, they want them on site and I have to work from home) I'm pretty sure there are others. I know there are local PHP developer groups - and "geek" social groups etc. Anyway - that's all the info I couldn't squeeze into my tweets to you :D Utah is pretty cool.
