So you think you can dance?

As I mentioned in my last post, I got some video of Sawyer Brown last nite at RibFest. I uploaded one of them to YouTube. This video shows Mark Miller’s fancy footwork. That man sure can dance. The video is pretty good quality, but YouTube doesn’t show the high quality one by default. If you go here, click the ‘watch in high quality’ link to view in all its (compressed for the internet) glory.

Sawyer Brown is coming to town

Froggy announced the (partial) lineup for RibFest this morning. I’ve been checking their website for the past month or so waiting for the lineup. They always seem to wait ’til the last minute to update the entertainment. Even though Froggy announced it, it’s still not up on the RibFest website. I’m guessing they’re waiting for the last piece to be taken care of.

This is the lineup for RibFest this year:
Wednesday: Sawyer Brown
Thursday: Johnny Holm
Friday: Diamond Rio
Saturday: unknown

Diamond Rio was supposed to be here last year, but we had a bit of a weather issue that nite, and the concert was canceled. I’m glad they were able to add this year to their schedule. I was really looking forward to seeing them.

Sawyer Brown. OMG!! I love Sawyer Brown. I guess if I had to give you the name of my favorite band, and I could only have one, it would be Sawyer Brown. I have seen them several times … I’ve lost count actually. I can’t wait to see them again. And I can’t wait to try out my new camera at the concerts. I should be able to get some really good pics.

Speaking of my new camera, I did get it yesterday. But that’s another post.

Vacation set

I have decided when I am taking vacation. I will be taking it during the fair. They mentioned it on the news tonite and I checked out the website to see what the concerts were gonna be. The website said Joe Nichols and BlackHawk and Restless Heart. And on the news they mentioned Emerson Drive. :thud: :dancin: I am SOOOOOO gonna be there. I saw Emerson Drive at RibFest last year and got to meet them. Robin … you’re gonna have to find a babysitter for that nite (June 21st … a Thursday). I confirmed the date on their website since it wasn’t on the fair’s website yet. Oh, Weird Al Yankovik is gonna be there too (according to the news). But I’m more excited about Emerson Drive (as if you couldn’t tell .. LOL) and Joe Nichols. Something to look forward to. :D

Now I just wonder who’s gonna be at RibFest. Their website still has the info for 2006. Guess I’ll just have to be patient. But I’m not good at being patient … :nailbite:

:: EDIT:: Now I’m confused. The fair’s website has someone else for June 21st, but the Emerson Drive website said that’s the nite they’ll be here. And they DID mention them on the news (but didn’t mention the date). I’ll just have to keep an eye on the schedule to find out.

Soothes the savage beast

It’s amazing how music can change a person’s mood (or at least it can mine). Since the post office was closed today (stupid federal holidays), I decided to go to the Job Service office to fax my crap in. But I get there only to find out that they’re CLOSED. :censored: So, I wasted half of my lunch hour. Not only that, but on my way there, I got behind a semi that kicked up crap on my windshield (since the temps were warmer the snow/ice on the roads melted). I tried to clean off my windshield only to find out that I had no washer fluid, leaving me unable to see out of my windshield. So I had to pull off on a side road and use my glove (since I didn’t have any kleenexes or anything in my car or purse) to clean off my windshield enough to see out of it. (I did have some washer fluid in my trunk, so I put it in when I got back to work. So I was able to see out the windshield on my way home tonite.)

Needless to say, I was NOT in a good mood when I got back to work. I ate my lunch quick since I only had about 30 minutes left. Then when I went back to work, I was having issues with Eclipse (the program we edit/write our code in). Thank goodness Justin was at lunch because I was cussing at my computer. But I started listening to 32 Below on my mp3 player. I actually calmed down after that.

Music has been able to cheer me up in the past. And 32 Below (or their predecessors Wolf Butte) always seemed to have that affect on me. Thank goodness for music (and my mp3 player).

Almost full

I uploaded a bunch of songs to my mp3 player. I think I’ve got around 400 or so songs on it right now. I think there’s about 250 MB or so of space left (of 2 GB total). I might take some off later and put some other stuff on. But it’ll do for now. This is what I uploaded:

Ripping the nite away

I’m busy tonite ripping a bunch of CDs that I decided I wanted on my mp3 player. I’ve got about 15 country CDs and 11 non-country CDs (rock/pop/alternative). So I’ve got my work cut out for me. I’m afraid that after I’ve ripped all this stuff and start transferring it to my player that I’ll have more than will fit (since the player is just a 2 GB player). If that is the case, then I’ll just have to rotate what I’ve got on it.

So my nite will involve: ripping CDs, watching the Bud Shootout, drinking Bud Light :drink_beer:, possibly eating Doritos. Gonna be a good nite … at least I think so. Any day/nite that involves watching NASCAR is a good one. :G-LOL:
