What the hell is Verizon smoking?

I got an email from Verizon earlier tonite telling me that my latest statement is available online. It also said that my current balance is $61.21. :censored: Normally my bill is around $55 since I upgraded my phone and got a text/picture message package. Why the hell is it $61?

So, I went to view my statement online. In the usage charges, it has 74 text messages listed under “Unbilled Usage from Previous Months”. ‘scuz me? WTF? I never came close to going over my limit on messages. I had 100 messages before. After I got my new phone, I upgraded to the 250 message plan. That was before December 1st.

My December bill had no text messages on it. I thought that was a little strange since I know I sent messages during that time period. I downloaded the details of text message usage they have on the site. It has 74 messages listed that were sent or received between Nov. 28th and Dec. 21st. Those should have been on my January bill. According to that statement, I had 233 messages available. I’m guessing it’s because of when I switched over to the 250 message package. I was billed for 8 text messages and 3 premium text messages. 233 – 8 – 3 = 222 If there were 74 messages that I wasn’t billed for (NOT my fault), I still had messages to use, and they should have come out of that. Why the hell am I being charged for them.

Needless to say … I will be calling Verizon tomorrow and bitching them out. I WILL NOT pay for those messages. They should have been taken out of my allowance. I WILL NOT let them screw me over. Wells Fargo tried to screw me over, and I didn’t stand for that. Verizon isn’t going to get away with it.
