Flying through cyberspace
I finished filing my taxes. I had said that I would probably use Complete Tax to do my taxes again this year. Well … I ALMOST did. I went through the process to fill everything out only to find out that I would have to pay about $13 to file my state taxes online. WTF? I can file federal for free but have to pay to file state. I don’t think so. So I didn’t use them to file.
I ended up using StateTaxFreedom.com … which is actually the Intuit Tax Freedom Project which uses Turbo Tax. With them, I was able to file both federal AND state for FREE. :dancin:
So … my taxes were sent out through cyberspace to the IRS and the ND government. I need to check back in 24 to 48 hours to check on the status. Then in 10 to 16 days, my refunds will be directly deposited in my checking account.
And I just checked … you can check on the status of your refund online on the IRS website. I knew I could do that for my state refund. That’ll be nice. I like to know where things are and when I should be getting what is mine. You can bet I’ll be checking on that thing daily after I get confirmation that my returns were accepted.
I so hate waiting … :nailbite:
