Random notes

Today is such a wonderful day. Oh … I love days like today. I should mention that I’m typing that with extreme sarcasm … LOL. We’re in a Winter Storm Warning until 6am Sunday. It started sometime early morning … not sure when. But it was already snowing when I got up at 8:30. And it’s still snowing. Good thing it’s a weekend. I did venture out to go to the grocery store to get a few things, but that’s it. I’m not going out again today.

This weather messed up my plans for today. I was gonna go do some Christmas shopping and get the last few things I need for my Christmas baking. But I’m not gonna go drive around in this.

The weather isn’t the only thing that messed up my plans. I started getting a cold a couple days ago. It started with just a stuffy nose. I’m pretty stuffed up now. The cold meds that I had expired last month, so I got some new ones at the grocery store. I think they’re helping a little, but I’m still stuffy. But at least when I blow now, I’m not just blowing holes in the tissue … LOL. This stupid cold kept me from going and getting my hair done (time to re-color and trim) because I didn’t want to make Mona (my friend and hairdresser) sick. I also bought some orange juice and chicken soup that I hope will help. Well … it can’t hurt.

Robin called earlier and made me realize I didn’t post about my decision about work. I accepted the offer … I would have been stupid not to. And I guess I WILL be able to have my 10 days of vacation still and I will be able to take the paid holidays. I still have to wait 60 days to get on the insurance and I won’t get my first paycheck ’til the end of January … but things should hopefully work out. I’m still hoping … :crossfingers: … that I’ll be able to order my computer later this month. I’ll just have to wait and see what my Christmas bonus is.

Ugh … I think I’m going to either go crash on the couch or go take a nap. My head is getting pretty stuffed up again and I can’t take more cold meds ’til after 2. Maybe I should add to my Christmas List a new nose … LOL. Hopefully I’ll beat this cold soon. Especially since I’m going to Robin’s later next week to take pics for her to use as her Christmas cards. I don’t wanna give Dannilynn another cold, especially since she just got over one.
